Last Preview Day is Today

Guess what leftover cake pop sticks are good for?  Flags on cards!  I rolled a stick through a Crumb Cake ink pad and then rubbed them down with a sponge kind of like how you stain wood.  It looks super cool in person.

For this card I used the Coredinations Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and I must say that stuff is ULTRA cool.  I sanded it down after I embossed the woodgrain texture and like I already said...cool stuff.

Taking another look at my card I really like the juxtaposition of the wood grain behind the crinkly paper band.  The DSP is called Orchard Harvest and the whole pack is rich of great saturated fall colors.

Want to see more really cool fall projects and learn exactly to make them?  Today is the last day for the Early Bird Savings.  It's also the last BLOG CANDY give away day!  Be sure to click over to Create with Connie and Mary to download your FREE project tutorial and learn where to find the BLOG CANDY.

  3. I think I love you just for using the word "juxtaposition" in a blog post. That's a 5-syllable word! You amaze me. I love your colored cake pop stick, the wood grain/sanded paper and the ruffled dsp. It's fabulous!
