Artisan Award Winners Blog Hop #1

Today's card features the Bella's Bloom stamp set and one of my favorite techniques, direct to rubber water coloring. This was the first card I made for the contest and I almost didn't send it as I felt it was too simple looking. I had made seven cards and you only submit five; in the end I put it in the box because of the technique. I know the card is simple in design, but if you sat down with me to make one you would see how involved the process is. If you click here you will see another version that I have posted which features this same technique.

Hopefully you can see all the shimmer mist, the teeny bling, and the delicate touches on the flowers. I strongly believe that if you study all the artisan projects during this two week blog hop you will see subtle touches and additions that take a simple card/page/3-D item up and over the edge to a WOW.

Here is a recipe for the card:
Neutrals Textured & Almost Amethyst Cardstock
Watercolor Paper
Bella’s Bloom Stamp Set
Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, & Lavender Lace Classic Inks
Pretties Kit
Certainly Celery 5/8” Satin Ribbon
Metal Edge Tags
1 ¾” Circle & Flower Trio Punches
Eggcellent Eggs Kit
Dimensionals

Thanks for having a look at my first Artisan card project. Now, get ready to hop over to Renee Ballard's Stamp Stadium

To start at the beginning of the hop go to Heather Van Duker's Stamptastic blog.
